Fishguard is gearing up for yet another fantastic New Year’s Eve street party and putting the final touches on what has been named one of the best New Year’s events in Britain.

This year’s event will start at 8.30 pm. There will be plenty of entertainment on the main stage, including local talent show winners and performers, vocalist Lisa Allen and headliners Wrong Jovi chosen in a community ballot earlier this year.

The evening will also see a community flashmob record attempt. It’s not too late to take part with all or part of this, just search for Fishguard NYE Flashmob on Facebook for more.

A stunning fireworks display, sponsored by Stena, will light up the sky to see in 2018.

Fishguard New Year’s Eve wristbands will be available at the event and at shops in Fishguard and Goodwick in the run up.

These are an ideal way to support the event, ensure the continuation of the street party and mean you will not be approached by bucket rattlers on the night.

A fundraising raffle, at £1 a ticket, will also help support the event with the chance to win wonderful prizes including trip to Ireland for four, courtesy of Stena, £100 cash and lots more.

There will also be a market in the town hall for the first time this year. Any potential stall holders should contact Fishguard Square New Year’s Party via Facebook.
