A CLARBESTON Road man has been warned today (Monday) a jail sentence could follow after he admitted sexual offences against a 14-year-old girl.
Gary Blount, aged 39, of Lower Bletherston, had been due to stand trial at Swansea crown court having denied the charges.
But today he admitted sexual activity with the girl and causing her or inciting her to engage in sexual activity.
Blount will be sentenced on July 2 and was granted bail until then.
But the judge, Mr Recorder Duncan Bould told him the offending passed the custody threshold and there was "a very real possibility you will lose your liberty."
Ian Wright said the first offence related to kissing and the second to a string of messages he had sent the girl.
Blount's victim was granted permission to view and listen to his guilty pleas.
Blount was ordered to register with the police as sex offender before leaving court.
