Local Assembly Member and Welsh Conservatives leader Paul Davies joined local farmers and farming representatives for a breakfast to celebrate Farmhouse Breakfast Week 2020.

The AM for Preseli Pembrokeshire attended the Farmers' Union of Wales event in Crundale to champion the benefits of a healthy breakfast and meet with local farmers to discuss the challenges currently facing the sector.

Mr Davies said: “It’s always a pleasure to meet with local farmers and hear first-hand of the challenges and opportunities facing the sector – and even better to do so over a healthy breakfast.

"I’ve always proudly supported Pembrokeshire’s produce and today was another excellent showcase of what our local farmers have on offer.

"We had some very useful and interesting discussions and I’ll certainly be doing all I can to push the Welsh Government to better support our farmers by tackling issues such as bovine TB and their nitrate vulnerable zones proposals, which are currently threatening the sustainability of the sector.”

The FUW also staged a similar Pembrokeshire event during the week in Hermon.
