A CALL to video record and broadcast Pembroke Dock Town Council meetings is to be made at the council’s November meeting.
In his notice of motion before the November 2 meeting, Cllr Beynon proposes: “This council resolves to purchase a video recording device to record council meetings and upload them online via social media sites, Youtube and the website for the benefit of the wider community.”
Pembrokeshire County Council adopted internet broadcasting of some of its meetings back in 2013, following a notice of motion which had originally called for members of the public to be allowed to film council meetings.
But, following concerns about how such public filming could be edited and presented, councillors decided that webcasting the meetings would be the best way forward.
The range of meetings webcast by the county council was later expanded.
