GOLDEN Grove School’s Class 3RB and Dosbarth Pinc had a wonderful day going back in time at Castell Henllys recently.

The visit to the Iron Age Village is a popular event in the school calendar. Pupils were taught the arts of bread making, fence making, as well as being enlightened to the daily hardships endured by people of past times.

In other school news, Crucial Crew, which has been operating in Pembrokeshire for over 20 years is always much enjoyed by pupils.

Blwyddin 6 from Dosbarh 5/6 PB was one of the groups from school who attended this year’s event.

Local agencies and organisations get together to deliver pupils vital information and skills to prevent accidents, deal with accidents and generally staying safe.

Amongst the skills and advice sessions were Bus Safety, Road Safety, Personal Safety and how to perform basic CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation).

Youngsters also learned about tackling bullying.

Theatre group Arad Goch recently attended the school to put on a performance about bullying. After the performance they hosted a workshop with pupils to discuss the issues related to it.
