A CHARITY quiz night at a Kilgetty pub has raised more than £300 for a Pembrokeshire hospice at home charity.

The July 25 quiz night at the White Horse raised £304 for the Paul Sartori Hospice at Home Service, the largest amount ever raised at a quiz night by the pub.

Paul Sartori was chosen as the charity by Natalie James, who recently lost her beloved husband Alan. The couple were supported by the Paul Sartori Hospice at Home Service in the later stages of Alan’s illness, so White Horse landlady Charlie Jones and landlord Anthony Phillips chose the Foundation as the beneficiary of funds raised during the evening.

Natalie and other locals also donated prizes for an on the night raffle.

Sandra Dade, Paul Sartori charity manager said: “It was an absolute pleasure to attend the quiz. The atmosphere was wonderful. The whole evening was a great example of community spirit and it was a privilege to be a part of the event. A big thank you to everyone involved.”
