NARBERTH Winter Carnival brought fun, fire and sparkle to the town’s rainy streets on Saturday evening.

The event, which was Pembrokeshire’s pioneer winter carnival, saw a festive parade making its way around the town.

Leading the way was Father Christmas, appearing courtesy of Narberth and Whitland Round Table, who was joined by the Narberth Snow Princess.

Also taking their place in the procession were the mayor of Narberth, Councillor Liz Rogers, who was joined by the mayor of Haverfordwest, Councillor Susan Murray, who judged the float and fancy dress entries.

An Army vehicle brought variety to the parade, along with the pyrotechnic antics of the Narberth Fire Spinners, who lit up the night sky with their flames.

SwimNarberth supporters were out in force with their float-load of cheery Santas, and The Force was brought along by the Eagle Inn with their selection of Star Wars characters.

During the day, there was a Christmas market in the Queens Hall, while Santa welcomed young visitors to his grotto in CK's Supermarket.
