LAMPHEY Primary School has some new football kit, thanks to Haverfordwest-based Tees R Us.
Harry, the school’s football captain, was delighted to be presented with the new kit, which had been designed, produced and donated by Tees R Us.
Headteacher Simon Thomas said: “We are delighted with this new kit, and as a school that encourages team participation and sportsmanship this will be used well and worn with pride by the pupils of the school.”
In other school news, Megan and Maddy, the newly-appointed school ambassadors, travelled to University Wales Trinity St David in Carmarthen where they met Professor Sally Holland, the Children’s Commissioner for Wales, at a Super Ambassadors event.
This important role involves the ambassadors championing the rights of the child and young people in Wales.
The ambassadors, as well as the school council, regularly meet with the governing body to highlight any concerns and impact positively on policies.
Mr Thomas said: “I am sure Megan and Maddy will keep me on my toes regarding the needs of the children of the school, as well as informing all of the pupils about the Rights of the Child.”
