DANCERS in west Wales have stepped up to the plate recently to raise money for charity.

Thanks to members of the West Wales Rock'n'Roll Club, which meets twice a month at Whitland Dairy Club, the Paul Sartori Foundation will benefit to the tine of £600.

Members also jived their way to a £440 donation in aid of Breast Cancer Care last month.

Organiser Teri Stockton said: "We can guarantee that whenever we hold a dance for any named charity that the jivers will turn out in force to support it.

"They always give generously and when this is coupled with bands giving their time freely it means we can give the maximum amount to good causes."

Dancers of all ages are welcome to attend the rock and roll nights. For more information phone Teri or Martin on 01994 453220 or log onto the website www.westwalesrocknrollclub.webs.com
