TOWN COUNCIL The county council has agreed to the Whitland town council’s suggestion of the local library being a collection point for the blue bags. Councillors council agreed that theRotary bench in the town should be moved temporarily to Spring Gardens for the use of a respected member of the community.The Mayor enjoyed Whitland week and congratulated the Parc Dr. Owen committee for organising a successful event. Congratulations also went to the cricket youth team for beating Cresselly in the recent Ormond youth cup final.

CYLCH MEITHRIN An open day with a duck race and various stalls will be held at Cylch Meithrin Hywel Dda on Saturday (17th September) at 10am, when everyone is welcome to come along and join the Cylch's 40th birethday celebrations.

RUGBY CLUB The next committee meeting is on Monday (Sept 19th) at 7pm. Calling all Ood players of Whitland RFC - a new Old Players Association has been formed. JUNIOR RUGBY Whitland Junior Borderers rugby welcomes all new players, boys and girls, from under sevens through to under 15s. All coaches and referees have the required coaching qualification and all representatives of the club are CRB checked and are first aid trained.
