The AGM of the Haverfordwest Town Museum Trust was held at Picton House last Tuesday evening. Officers elected were: chairman - Charles Davies, vice chairman - Barbara Shone, treasurer - David Butler, and secretary - Heather Jones.
The curator, Simon Hancock, reported a very successful season with visitor numbers sustaining well and the museum retained the VAQAS Standard which is administered by Visit Wales.
He said that the major display, relating to Haverfordwest Grammar School, has been very popular and, since more artefacts and photographs were being donated, would be retained for 2014.
In addition he explained how the museum would have several First World War exhibits to commemorate the centenary next year.
The programme of talks and outreach events had included an Easter event and a Roman event in July.
He added: “The museum continues to go from strength to strength and we have become very firmly established as one of the major cultural assets of Haverfordwest.”
