FARMERS and livestock owners are being urged to put identity marks on electric fencing and equipment to deter thieves.
The call by police follows the recent theft of an electric fencing power unit, worth more than £300, from a farmer’s field at New Moat.
Farmers are also being asked to keep a look-out for suspicious activity and vehicles, especially in remote areas.
