Despite a postponement, the organising committee of the annual Llandygwydd YFC ploughing match ploughed on and staged a very successful event.
Members of the organising committee were very pleased with the support of the craftsmen, supporters and sponsors for the re-arranged match, which was held at Trewindsor, Penparc, Cardigan by invitation of Lyn and Annette Jones and their family, of Tygwyn, Ferwig.
Thirty skilled ploughmen participated in ten distinct classes on a beautiful afternoon in front of judges Ellis Davies, of Gower and Roy Morgan, from Wolfscastle.
After a day of fierce competition, the championship trophy was awarded to Rhodri George.
The junior winner was Iestyn James, who also picked up the best Ceredigion YFC member trophy.
