Members of Pembrokeshire YFC were driving themselves ‘batea’ trying to decipher their schoodics from their suffibulums and ablewhackets from their mucka-muckas recently.

The tongue-twisting words were at the centre of the Call My Bluff competition, held at Martletwy YFC Hall, Cresselly.

An excellent turnout saw ten teams of three members try to bluff their way through the rounds and fool the opposition with their fabricated definitions of the weird and wonderful words chosen by judge Helen Hodges.

After ten tense rounds, Llawhaden YFC proved their skill for bluffing is as strong as ever as the team of Jessica Lewis, Alana McCarthy and Claire Thomas recaptured the title won by the club last year.

The Pembrokeshire team of Claire Thomas, Sam Kurtz, of Brawdy YFC and Katie Davies, of Llysyfran YFC then went on to the Welsh finals where they were placed seventh.
