The countdown to the biggest day in the YFC calendar saw clubs going head to head for a number of competitions.
With such a variety of competitions in the YFC programme, it is not possible to squeeze them all into rally day, so some are held in the run-up to the event.
As well as a cookery competition, which was won by Tiers Cross YFC, members have enjoyed traditional beef, dairy, pony and sheep stockjudging competitions.
With the theme of this year’s rally competitions ‘the elements’ clubs were asked to stage a fire safety prevention roadshow, aimed at primary school children, explaining the dangers of fire and how to stay safe.
Eglwyswrw YFC took the honours in that competition and were placed second in ‘On the news’, where teams were given two hours to write a press release and perform a three-minute news bulletin on ‘battling the elements’.
Fishguard YFC won the competition, with South Pembs in third.
