Division two round-up

Pembroke (152 for 9) drew with Cresselly 2nds (108 for 7)

A half century by Paul Hay helped Pembroke gain the better of the draw at Treleet.

Hay had four boundaries in his 52 and found support from Gianluca Tremarco (20), Spencer Harries (16) and Ceri Brace (14). Harry Thomas (3 for 41), Phil James (2 for 16), Richard Harris (3 for 37) and Tom Arthur (1 for 17) were the Cresselly wicket-takers.

Teenager Thomas then hit 30 when Cresselly batted, but they were stifled by Jonathan Rogers (4 for 20), Ceri Brace (1 for 15 ) and Sean Powell (1 for 31).

Whitland 2nds (155 for 7) lost to Haverfordwest 2nds (157 for 5)

Haverfordwest did well to chase down Whitland as David Haynes led the way with 52, including eight boundaries.

Raff Williams (39), Wayne Jones (34), Steve Fraser (27), Paul Webb (18) and Geraint Phillips (17) all contributed to Whitland’s score against the bowling of Simon Williams (3 for 24), James Morris (1 for 23), Chris Phillips (1 for 40) and Kieran Griffiths (1 for 6).

Griffiths then hit 21, alongside Ashley James (20) and Jamie Jenkins (29).

Although Whitland had wickets from Geraint Phillips (2 for 44), Connor Bowen (1 for 30), Paul Webb (1 for 39) and Jack Bowen (1 for 23), the Town edged home.

Saundersfoot (126 for 4) beat Stackpole (125 all out)

An excellent all-round performance by James Caine made sure that Saundersfoot remained top of division two.

He took a 4 for 30 haul and scored 43 with the bat.

James Adie (30), John Williams (30) and Richard MacKay (23) were the rungetters for Stackpole against Caine, his brother Danny (2 for 13), Jack Franklyn (2 for 20), Simon Wood (2 for 20) and Richard Cope (1 for 28).

Chris Gibbs bowled well for Stackpole with 4 for 41 but James Caine (43), Sam Franklyn (26) and Nick Cope (19) and skipper Simon Wood (16 not out) saw Saundersfoot home.

Burton 2nds (90 all out) lost to Carew 2nds (157 for 5)

Rob Scourfield used his experience as he guided Carew to an easy win.

Scourfield held the Carew innings of 157 for 5 together with an unbeaten 62 that contained four fours and three sixes, assisted by 21 apiece from Dai Rees and Chris Cole, plus 17 from skipper Haydn Shapcott.

Steve Jones (2 for 30), Gavin Campbell (1 for 22), Rob Jones (1 for 24) and Johnnie Scale (1 for 41) were the Burton wicket-takers.

Ben Huxley (35) and Steve Jones (19) had runs for Burton but Scourfield claimed 2 for 22 alongside Luke Hicks (3 for 17), Sean Whitfield (2 for 9) and Dominic Hicks (2 for 35).

Lamphey (64 all out) lost to Johnson (193 all out)

Simon Williams was the Johnston hero as he hit a half century and claimed six wickets at Lamphey.

Williams had seven fours in his 50 as Lee Summons (29), Chris Goodridge (30) and Paul Hood (33 not out) saw Johnston to 193 all out.

Hywel Gibbs (5 for 28) and Jason Oatley (2 for 19) led the Lamphey bowling.

Williams was then joined by Hood in shooting out Lamphey for 64 as only Blackwell (24) and Haydn Cole (13) managed double figures. Williams claimed 6 for 31 while Hood took his 4 for 29.
