MULTIPLE Masters World Powerlifting champion Paul Murphy is heading for more glory in November.

The remarkable lifting feats of the powerhouse from Pembrokeshire have been well documented over many years in Telegraph Sport; Murphy has now set his goal on achieving four different world titles with two different organisations.

After successfully competing in Derby recently and breaking records, Murphy has been selected to compete for the Great Britain team with the World Powerlifting Union.

His plan is to fly out to Chicago, USA, and defend his world titles with the World Powerlifting Federation on November 2.

Then return home before very little recovery time and fly out again, this time to Holland and compete for the GB team, under the World Powerlifting Union organisation.

"It's crazy to think I could win four world titles in just two weeks," said Murphy. "It's a massive challenge, but I'll be giving it my best shot."
