THREE Pembrokeshire players will line up in their country’s colours on Thursday when Wales Schools Under 18s take on Ireland Schools.
Alaric Jones (Haverfordwest County and Tasker Milward), Ben Fawcett, and Jack Wilson (both Pembrokeshire College and Hakin United) have been named in the 18-man squad for the game at Cefn Druids FC, with kick off at 7pm.
Both Fawcett and Wilson, also in the Welsh Colleges squad, have enjoyed great debut seasons with The Vikings at senior level, while Jones has gained valuable Welsh Premier League experience with the Bluebirds.
It will be Wales’ opening game of the annual Centenary Shield competition.
Just three days later (Sunday), Jones will travel to Waterford with the Welsh Under 18s Academy side to again play counterparts from the Republic of Ireland.
Another young Bluebird, Charlie Davies, has been put on standby for the Academy fixture and will come into the squad if anyone withdraws.
