Manderwood Pembrokeshire League Division 1: Neyland 0-8 Carew

CAREW moved two points clear at the top of the table following this crushing eight-goal victory at Neyland.

The Rooks have played four and won four and are banging in goals for fun much to the delight of manager Rob Scourfield and assistant Jeremy Griffiths.

Scott Ferney opened the scoring in the 12th minute, latching onto Jack Christopher’s inviting ball, and finished neatly at the near post.

Four minutes later and Jack Christopher was on target for the second, and Jordan Richards struck from close range for the third.

Just before the break and Ferney grabbed his second of the game, the striker unleashing a sweet left-footed 18 yard shot beyond the reach of Peter Blain.

An own goal brought up number five shortly after the break, and Richards added the sixth from a corner. Ferney completed his hat-trick for the seventh and Sam Christopher added the eighth to complete the rout.
