Senior Cup and Manderwood Pembroeshire Football League fixtures for Saturday, September 22nd:

Senior Cup Round 1 predictions (2pm):

Camrose 4-2 Pembroke Boro

Camrose have settled into Division 2 nicely, with a 2-0 win over Prendergast on Saturday giving them a third win in five.

But this won't be easy, Pembroke Boro are flying in Division 3 with 15 points from 15, and Stuart Slater and Jake Campbell are banging in goals for fun.

Camrose of course have firepower aplenty themselves through the likes of Jordan Raymond, Mike Loveridge, and Matthew Price, and while I think they'll go through, this won't be easy.

Fishguard Sports 1-3 Goodwick United

This will be tasty.

Fishguard have started brilliantly in Division 2 with five wins from five, and will be fired up for this for obvious reasons.

Goodwick were fortunate to take three points from Pennar on Saturday and this will be anything but simple. But the Phoenix Boys have had too much cup experience in recent seasons to be daunted.

I can see the 2015/16 winners prevailing here.

Hakin United 4-1 Clarbeston Road

A repeat of last season's final.

The Vikings stormed back to beat Port Tennant Colts in the FAW Trophy last Saturday, with Justin Harding on hot form with four goals.

Clarbie meanwhile, grabbed an important win at Herbie, but Matthew Ellis is still waiting for a number of key players to return.

His side have proved me wrong many times in the Senior Cup these past two seasons, but I think their hopes of a third straight final will end at The Obs.

Hundleton 2-0 Milford Athletic

Hundleton are in awful form in Division 2, with no points and a goal difference of -24 from their five games thus far.

But Athletic have lost three on the bounce in Division 3 and are also struggling, with keeper Jamie Bird and former Hakin midfielder Michael Cooper just two casualties on a big injury list.

I suspect neither side really needs game, but it is a big chance for the home team to at least get a first morale boosting win of the campaign.

Johnston 2-4 Carew

On paper, this is interesting.

Johnston top Division 2 and Scott Crawford is in prolific form, while the return of the likes of Luke Hayward and Sion Price make them big contenders for promotion.

Carew meanwhile, looked prolific themselves before Saturday's surprise 4-2 loss to St Clears, a result which ended a run of four straight league wins.

The Rooks were Senior Cup semi finalists last season and have every chance of going all the way in this - but they can't afford to be off the boil at Glebelands.

Lamphey 4-1 Letterston

Lamphey are leaking too many goals, and were hammered 11-2 by Monkton on Saturday.

Letterston meanwhile, beat Broad Haven for their first win of the season, and James Gwilt in goal should be worth a few extra points in Division 2.

Survival in their respective leagues will be the priority for both of these I suspect, but The Stags should win through to round 2 here.

Llangwm H'west CC 1-4 Herbrandston

Herbie desperately need a win to get some momentum going, and they should get one here against a Llangwm/Haverfordwest CC side that is struggling in Division 2.

In fact, both teams have just a single point from five league games, but I fancy Sean Thomas' side will have too much for the hosts.

Merlins Bridge 5-0 Cosheston

Bridge went out of the FAW Trophy on Saturday, but this represents a much more realistic chance of silverware.

It will be interesting however to see how Cosheston front up, having won their opening three league games in Division 4, and the visitors will see it as a chance to test themselves with little to lose.

I can’t see The Wizards slipping up mind.

Narberth 7-0 Newport Tigers

Narberth are struggling in the top flight with four straight losses since drawing with St Clears on the opening night - but they shouldn't have any problems here.

The Tigers are newly formed and have one win from their three Division 5 games so far, and this is their first taste of Senior Cup action.

They can afford to enjoy the day with little expectation, but I don't see an upset.

Neyland 3-0 Solva

It hasn't been an easy start for The Nomads, with some heavy defeats compounded with some of their younger players now leaving for University.

But they grabbed a vital win at Milford United on Saturday, and will be clear favourites to take another one here.

Solva have come into some form in Division 2 with 7 points from their last three games, but they too are struggling to field a settle side and need to be at full strength to have any chance here.

Pendine 2-3 Prendergast Villa

There is no shortage of entertainment with Pendine - beaten 10-5 at Monkton 2nds on Saturday.

The Villa meanwhile have had a mixed start in Division 2 and this represents a tricky trip for them, not only because of the long journey itself.

The forecast is also set to be poor so the away side will have to dig deep here. If they perform, then their extra quality should prevail, but I fancy it will be a battle.

Saundersfoot Sports 3-0 Milford United

Saundersfoot have slotted back in fine to Division 1, and 10 points in five games indicates they won't be embroiled in a dogfight to avoid going back down.

The Robins meanwhile are struggling without a point to their name, and like last year, they are competing hard but lack the firepower to win games.

On current form, I can't see past the home side.

St Clears 4-2 Kilgetty

It was some result for St Clears last week, with Tristan Hancock's brace helping them to that win at Carew.

They won the Division 2 Cup last season so know what it takes in a knockout competition, but Kilgetty are unbeaten in the second tier thus far and this won't be straightforward.

I can see the visitors scoring, but the Saints should have too much for them.

St Ishmaels 1-7 Monkton Swifts

Tish had a cracking win over Merlins Bridge 2nds on Saturday but still have players missing, while Monkton are on fire in Division 1.

Lamphey were the latest side to suffer with James Russell scoring four times in an 11-2 win.

Joe Lewis' team are a danger to anyone on their day and will fancy their chances in the Senior Cup. So I don't expect them to take things easy at Tish.
