Manderwood Pembrokeshire League Division 1: Neyland 1-3 Narberth

A BRILLIANT hat-trick from Tony Evans secured Narberth a welcome win against Neyland at the Athletic Ground.

Evans has just signed back from Goodwick United, and he provided just the tonic that the Bluebirds were missing as they notched a first win of the season.

The striker gave the visitors the lead in the 30th minute when he was fouled inside the box, and then made no mistake from the spot as he fired past Patrick Hannon.

The score stayed that way until the 75th minute when Will Hughes scored with a 25 yard rocket to bring The Nomads right back into it.

But Evans responded by scoring a delightful 20-yard free kick to restore the lead, and in the dying minutes he got his treble with a terrific far post header.

The win moved the visitors 10th in the table, above Neyland on goal difference.
