Manderwood Pembrokeshire League Division 1: Carew 1-1 Goodwick United
ALEX Bayley’s dramatic 90th minute equaliser earned Carew a draw when all looked lost against league leaders Goodwick.
Jordan Griffiths’ excellent goal just after the break looked as if it was the winner, but with the last throw of the dice Bayley pounced.
After a goalless first period the Phoenix Boys broke the deadlock in the 55th minute, as Steff Hayes’ byline cross was cleverly clipped by Griffiths past Carew keeper Tom Davies.
The visitors were unlucky not to add a second when Davies pulled off a magnificent save to deny Kieran O’Brien.
At the other end, Patrick Hughes also pulled off a stunning save to stop Lloyd Hughes grabbing an equaliser.
The Rooks levelled at the death though, when Jordan Richards’ shot was blocked and Bayley reacted quickest to sweep home from six yards.
