West Wales Cup Round 3: Carew 8-0 Loughor Rovers
Carew cruised into the last 16 of the West Wales Cup after easily brushing aside Loughor Rovers at home.
The Rooks grabbed four goals in each half as they controlled matters in this cup-tie which was postponed due to bad weather last week.
Jordan Richards headed home the opener before Scott Ferney drilled in the second.
Lloyd Hughes added the third with a far post finish, and Richards was on target again for the fourth.
After the interval The Rooks continued to dominate. Hughes added the fifth and sixth goals with sweet left foot strikes.
Richards was on target with the seventh to complete his hat-trick, and Hughes was on target with goal number eight, as he grabbed a four goal haul to help Rob Scourfield and Jeremy Griffiths’ team set up an away tie with Malsters Sports.
The latter beat Ynystawe Athletic 3-2 away from home on Saturday, and will present a stern test for the Pembrokeshire side come February.
