Manderwood Pembrokeshire League Division 1: Carew 3-2 Saundersfoot Sports 2

Jordan Richards scored a brace as Carew came from behind to secure the derby bragging rights at home against Saundersfoot Sports.

The visitors started brightly and found themselves 2-0 up with ten minutes on the clock.

On the six minute mark, Geoff Marsh opened the scoring for the Sports, striking an exquisite left foot curler which flew into the top corner.

This goal gave the Sports momentum and self-belief, and soon after they extended their lead, Adam Davidson scoring with a neat finish from inside the box.

The Rooks finally awoke from their slumber and pulled one back in the 22nd minute, striker Richards making no mistake from close range, as the hosts trailed 1-2 at the break.

Ten minutes after half time and Carew equalised in fortuitous circumstances. A goalmouth scramble saw Sam Franklin beaten as the ball deflected off one of his own defenders.

In the 74th minute The Rooks stunned the Sports by grabbing the winner. Richards buried from close range to earn Carew victory when all had looked lost earlier on.
