Manderwood Pembrokeshire League Division 1: Hakin United 4-0 St Clears

Goals from Nicky Woodrow (2), Justin Harding and Craig Nicholson eased Hakin to a win over St Clears at The Obs - but the win was tempered by a serious injury to Adam 'Titch' John.

He left the field with a suspected broken leg after 20 minutes, and the news was compounded by Hakin 2nds having their game at Johnston abandoned due to a similar injury to Alen Greenish. Telegraph Sport wishes both players a quick and full recovery.

It detracted from a good display from The Vikings who took the lead after great inter-play between Jake Merry, Craig Nicholson, and Harding finished with the latter teeing up Woodrow to hammer a half volley home from 18 yards.

It was Harding who made it 2-0 before the break with a neat finish from Billy Davies' cut back.

After the break Craig Nicholson made it three, running unchallenged from half way before slotting a shot past St Clears keeper James Dixon.

But then the Carmarthenshire Saints squandered a big chance to get back to into it as Tristan Hancock went down under the challenge of Hakin keeper James Manson.

However, the latter made amends, diving low to his right to save Jon Seeley's spot kick.

Seeley had another chance but couldn't convert at the back post and then The Vikings sealed matters through Woodrow, who fired high into the net from a Shane Walsh cross.
