Manderwood Pembrokeshire League Division 1: Neyland 0-1 Milford United

Liam Parr’s second half strike earned a relieved Milford United their first win of the season at Neyland.

Robins’ manager Adrian Hutchings was delighted: “We’ve waited a long time for this win.

“Our keeper Jack Nicholas was outstanding and Lewys took the goal well and this will give us a boost.

"I am really happy for the lads as they’ve kept going every week for me and have always given 100% and have finally got a break."

The Nomads blamed a combination of poor finishing and brave goal keeping by Milford’s Nicholas that led to their downfall. The returning centre back duo of William Goodall and Scott Griffiths were also vital as the away side withstood a lot of pressure.

The winner was scored in the 70th winner when Parr finished clinically past Patrick Hannon at the near post to give his team the perfect start to 2019!

The result also takes The Robins off the bottom of the table, and three points clear of Herbrandston.
