Manderwood Pembrokeshire League Division 1: Carew 2-0 Pennar Robins
Scott Ferney bagged a brace to secure Carew a hard fought victory against Pennar Robins.
This game was a dress rehearsal of the forthcoming Senior Cup semi-final and at the final whistle it was the Rooks who prevailed to keep their title hopes alive.
The Robins played their part though and Ben Adams was unlucky not to score when his firm header was brilliantly saved by home goalkeeper Tom Davies.
However, in the second half the hosts broke the deadlock on the hour mark as Shaun Whitfield teed-up Ferney with a simple tap-in.
Five minutes later and they doubled the lead, Sam Christopher’s goal bound shot was turned in by Ferney to secure the vital points.
