It has been a great couple of weeks for the Pembrokeshire Harriers.

First the club travelled to Cardiff for the Welsh Senior Championships. Incorporated into the Championships were several events for the Welsh Juniors and four young Harriers took advantage of this to compete on the same stage as top senior athletes.

Gracie Griffiths ran well in front of the big crowd and claimed the Bronze in the U15 Girls 1500m.

Lucy Wintle gave the U15 Girls 300m a go and managed to make the final in her first year as under 15. She ran a PB in the heat and bettered that in the final.

Ella Wintle was the favourite for the U15 Girls 300m and she didn't disappoint. She made the final and easily won that race to claim Gold - and possibly a first for any club to have two sisters running in the same indoor final.

Flavia Jenkins continued her training for the distance hurdles with two good runs in the U17 Women's 300m. She made the final where she ran a PB to claim Bronze.

Abi Buxton competed in the Senior Women's High Jump and cleared 1.61m to claim Bronze.

Matthew Williams ran in the vest of Cardiff Metropolitan Uni and led the Senior Men's 1500m for most of the race before being pipped into silver.

And then last weekend 17 young Harriers, along with coaches, braved the wintry conditions to travel to Cardiff for the Welsh Junior Indoor Championships.

Over the two days they excelled on the track and in the field with medals and PB's galore.

The combined medal total for the club was four gold, five silver and three bronze.

Ella Wintle won three of the Gold medals in the U15 60m, 200m and 300m, while Joseph Reynolds won Gold in the U17 400m.
