Manderwood Pembrokeshire League Division 1: Goodwick United 4-0 St Clears 0

Substitute Rhys Dalling scored twice to help Goodwick United return to winning ways against St Clears at Phoenix Park.

The Phoenix Lads have lost their last three games, knocked out of the West Wales Cup by Hakin United and losing in the league against Merlins Bridge and Carew, so player manager Wayne O’Sullivan was pleased that his side won and more importantly kept a clean sheet.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 25th minute with an amazing goal scored by Jordan Griffiths, the striker incredibly lobbed the Saints keeper with an audacious back heeled lob, a goal of real quality.

The Phoenix Lads grabbed three further goals in the second period.

Matty Delaney also came off the bench and rounded off a good day at the office for Goodwick, as the midfielder drilled in a low shot from 18 yards into the bottom corner.
