The Pembrokeshire Netball Junior Club tournaments have taken place this month.

On Saturday, March 9th the Under 16s tournament was held in
Pembrokeshire College. Overall, 10 teams were represented from Sapphires, Narberth, Milford, St Davids, Pembroke, Fishguard and Chaos.

After five hours of competitive matches in two pools there was a twist to see who would be heading to the semi finals. With a three way tie in Pool A between Fishguard, Sapphires Black and Chaos A it came down to goal average and Fishguard were the unlucky team to miss out - as Sapphires Black went through as winners of the pool with Chaos A runners up.

Pool B were represented by winners Narberth Red and runners up Narberth Black. Semi final one was Sapphires Black v Narberth Black. with the Sapphires winning 10-5. The second semi saw Chaos A beat Narberth Red 10-3.

This meant a final between Chaos A and Sapphires Black and after a tight first half, Chaos broke clear to win 10-4.

The Players' Player trophy was shared between Evie Davies (St Davids) and Olivia Disney (Narberth).

The following Saturday, March 16th was the Under 14s and
Under 12s tournaments.

In the Under 14s teams were represented from Milford, Sapphires, Narberth, Fishguard, St Davids, Chaos and Pembroke.

Again two pools were set up with both the winner and runner up going through and Chaos Niners were the winners of Pool A and Chaos Blues runners up.

Pool B was won by Narberth Red with Fishguard finished second.

Semi final one saw Chaos Niners beat Fishguard 5-3, and in the second semi final Chaos Blues and Narberth went to extra time before the Blues won via 'golden goal'.

It was an all Chaos final which the Niners won

Players' Player went to Ella Willis (St Davids Amber).

There were eight teams in the Under 12s represented by Chaos, Fishguard, St Davids, Sapphires, Narberth and Pembroke.

Winners of Pool A were St Davids and runners up Chaos Purple. Pool B was won by Sapphires with Pembroke runners up.

The first semi final saw St Davids beat Pembroke before Chaos Purple beat Sapphires 1.

St Davids then beat Sapphires in the final - and winner of the Players' Player was Nell Mackay (Sapphires).

"Over both weekends there were some fantastic netball played
and it was exciting to see the future," said Rhian Homer.

She thanked Lynn who organised the tournaments, the umpires, scorers, coaches, players and parents who gave up their time.
