Manderwood Pembrokeshire League Division 1: Merlins Bridge 1-0 Clarbeston Road
Nathan Greene came off the bench to score the winner for Merlins Bridge against Clarbeston Road.
The Wizards would have felt the effects of their thrilling extra-time penalty shoot-out victory against Hakin United in the West Wales Cup, and they had to dig deep to come through.
Matt Ellis’ Road outfit created some decent chances in the first period, but poor finishing ept the score was 0-0 at half time.
In the second period the Wizards bagged the only goal of the game when Greene made no mistake in the 74th minute.
Both teams now have big games tonight. Clarbie host title chasing Carew and Bridge play Neyland at The Racecourse.
