Division Three West A: Milford Haven 89-7 Llanybydder

Milford Haven went into this one knowing a bonus point win was a must, and the Mariners also got ample revenge for their 17-12 loss to Llanybydder earlier in the campaign.

The visitors only arrived with 15 players, and the home side took full advantage to sail into a 48-0 half time lead.

Skipper Jamie Lewis got the ball rolling with a try from full back and more quickly followed from No 8 Sam Dolling, centres Dan Birch and Jenkins, wingers James Trueman (2) and Craig Thomas, and second row David Round.

Trueman added four first half conversions.

The second 40 minutes was just as relentless as Milford boosted their league try count via back rowers Ryan Mansell and Dewi Williams, Thomas and Lewis added their second score, and there were three more late tries for Jenkins as he stood out against a tiring defence.

Llanybydder did manage a try from Aled Evans that Ross Holder converted, but it was a tough afternoon to finish the season for the Carmarthenshire side.

Now Milford will have a keen eye on the outcome of Wednesday's clash between Laugharne and Aberaeron. They are 9 points clear of the latter with one game left, while Aber have three.

Should Laugharne win in midweek, it means a Milford victory over Pembroke Dock Quins next Saturday will be enough to secure the title.

"They were a very different team to the away game but our boys were superb," said player coach Nathan Williams,

"They done exactly what we needed to do, get five points and score lots of tries. We look ahead to Wednesday now with interest."
