Pembrokeshire rugby fixtures for Saturday, April 27th - who needs what?

WRU Championship:

Maesteg Quins v Narberth

Narberth lie second, a point ahead of Ystrad Rhondda, and both have their last game tomorrow.

A win in Maesteg Quins would secure a third successive second placed finish for The Otters. Even if they end up level on points with Ystrad, who host Beddau, Narberth have a superior 'games won' record.

Defeat of course, could see them drop to third if Ystrad were to win.

Liam Hutchings returns to the back line while Leon Randell, Roy Osborn, and Dewi Williams all play on permit.

Sean Gale and his staff will want to finish on a high.

Narberth: Nick Gale, Liam Hutchings, Jack Price, Leon Randell, Yannic Parker, Ianto Griffiths, Lewys Gibby, Daniel Jacobs, Rhodri Owens, Tom Kaijaks, Alex Jenkins (capt), Roy Osborn, Dewi Williams, Tom Powell, Richie Rees. Replacements: Bradley Davies, Dan Smith, Kyle Hamer, Rhys Lane, Llew Jones.

Division One West:

Kidwelly v Tenby United

The Seasiders simply want to end the league season with a win, having lost all 21 games so far.

A number of youngsters have formed the core of the Tenby side in recent weeks - but they are rested this weekend with the youth playing in the WRU Plate final in the Principality Stadium next week.

Wyndham Williams however, makes the bench and it will be his 200th appearance for Tenby if he comes on.

Kidwelly are also down after just three wins themselves this season. So regardless of the result here, both clubs will be looking to re-build in the summer.

Tenby United: Jack Tucker, Jerome Mansbridge, Jordan Asparassa, Moritz Neumann, Ryan Hill, Lloyd Thomas, Shane Rossiter, Rob Clarke, Dan Allen, Ethan Morgan, Luke Dedman, Tom Barrass, Andrew Cooke, Jason Ronowitz, Jack Broadhurst. Replacements: Harry Bolton, Connor Ennis, Ryan Jones, Huw Evans, Wyndham Williams.

Division Two West:

St Clears v Pembroke

Promotion? Sorted. Now Pembroke hope for the title.

Anything less than a win here will mean second place. And not only must they win at relegated St Clears, ideally it must be with a four try bonus point.

That's because they trail Penclawdd by three points. The leaders won't have it easy though as they host third placed Pontyberem, and the visitors have a formidable pack who won't be sorry to have seen the recent rain.

Any kind of win gives Penclawdd the title. If the top two finish level (EG - Penclawdd lose with a bonus point and Pembroke get a four point win, or Penclawdd draw or lose with two bonus points and Pembroke get a five point win) - then the Scarlets would be champions on a superior 'games won' record.

Division Three West A:

The dynamic of this league has now changed after Laugharne's 32-31 win over Aberaeron on Wednesday night.

In a thrilling game, Aber fought back to lead 31-27 late on after tries from No 8 Tudur Jenkins (2), scrum half Gareth James, centre Ollie Sawyer and replacement prop.

But it was Mikey Williams who proved the Laugharne hero with that late score, after earlier tries from Williams himself, Will Evans, Richie Waters and Owain Thomas. Steff Davies kicked two conversions and a penalty.

Milford Haven v Pembroke Dock Harlequins

What that result means is any kind of Milford Haven win at home to Pembroke Dock Harlequins tomorrow makes them champions.

They will be expected to get it of course but one thing coaches Nathan Williams, Steve Martin and Andrew Williams will not have let their players do since Wednesday is get carried away. The Quins were more resolute in their match against Aberaeon last week and with heavy rain due, focus will be needed.

If Milford do prevail of course, it will be the perfect send off for the talismanic Mark Wonnacott, who retires after tomorrow.

Neyland v Aberaeron

Were Milford to somehow slip up, it would let Aberaeron back in if they win at Neyland.

It won't be easy after that draining game in Laugharne, and I expect the All Blacks to be lot stronger than the side hammered 69-3 in Mid-Wales last month.

Neyland will finish fifth regardless but after a great start this season, have now not won since March 2nd. They'll want to finish on a high note.
