Under 12s Pembrokeshire Cup final: Cosheston Strikers 3-2 Haverfordwest Bluebirds

There was no shortage of entertainment in the Pembrokeshire Under 12s Cup final at Marble Hall on Tuesday night as Cosheston Strikers held on to beat the Haverfordwest Bluebirds.

It turned out to be a cracking final, with both teams playing some good football and players showing great skill and composure for such a young age.

It was the Bluebirds, coached by Marco Siso, who took the lead when striker Alfie Jeremy put them ahead with a good finish.

But back came the Strikers, and coaches Darren Shaw and Johnny Clark were delighted to see their young charges grab goals before half time through Harry Jones, Cameron Cridland, and Alfie Brown.

Mason Hurley did get one back for the Bluebirds in the second half though to set up an exciting finish but Cosheston keeper Corey Mathias and his defenders held firm.

And it was Strikers’ skipper Bowyn Clark who was able to lead the celebrating at the final whistle by collecting the trophy on behalf of his team.
