Division 1: Whitland (155 all out) lost to Neyland (156-1)

Neyland kept their 41 point cushion at the top of Division 1 as four wickets each for Ross Hardy and Andrew Miller set up a straight forward win over Whitland.

The Borderers would have been disappointed with their final total given they were 69-0 via Daniel Blain and Jack Bowen, with the latter racing to 34 in his usual style with six fours and a maximum.

But another attempted big hit saw him caught by Koomen off Miller, and Neyland turned the squeeze.

Hardy removed Geraint Jones (6) and opener Blain (26), and after that it was only Jonathan Thomas (18) and Gregg Sleep (26) who really got going as the visitors were all out in 44 overs.

Alongside Miller (4-32) and Hardy (4-27), Geraint Rees (1-11) and Tom Pritchard (1-27) had a wicket each.

And the champions then cruised past the total in only 25 overs, Patrick Bellerby the only wicket to go fall as he was caught behind by Dylan Blain off Thomas after reaching 51 (eight fours).

But by that point Neyland had 99 on the board and Nick Koomen continued his form to finish 68 not out, 58 of which came in boundaries via ten fours and three sixes, and No 3 Ashley Sutton made 34 not out and ended the game in spectacular fashion with three fours and three sixes.
