Celt Edwards is only 7-years-old, but this Sunday he will push through the pain barrier to help a close friend.

Celt, the son of Milford Haven PE teacher Martin Edwards, is tackling a triathlon to raise funds for the Owen James Trust Fund.

Owen, 3, suffers from Pitt Hopkins Syndrome but shows real courage in coping with the condition, and the trust fund has been set up to help him and parents Iwan and Jemma.

"I have decided that I would like to raise money for my buddy Owen," said Celt.

"So I've set myself a challenge of a sponsored mini-triathlon which will be a 200m swim, eight mile cycle and a two mile run at Crymych Leisure Centre."

Martin, a close friend of Celt's father Iwan, added: "We would love it if people were able to spare a few pounds for something that is so close to our hearts. "

Celt will start this Sunday, August 18, starting at 9:30am.
