Jordan Hart has notched one of the best tournament results of her career by winning the Carebaco International event in Barbados.
Hart, from Pembroke Dock, beat Finland’s Airi Mikkela in the final in straight games (21-15 and 21-16), and has now reached a new career high world ranking of 89.
She also reached the semi finals in the mixed doubles with England’s Sam Parsons, eventually taking bronze.
“It’s been a great week,” she told Telegraph Sport.
“I’m excited to come away champion after beating players ranked above me in the semi final and final.
"I also have to mention Capital Roasters and FZ Forza UK as without their help, and that of my coach, I wouldn’t of been able to travel to Barbados."
