Division 1: Goodwick United 4-1 Clarbeston Road

Goodwick United came out on top in a game where player manager Wayne O’Sullivan admitted his side were not at their best against Clarbeston Road and the score line was flattering.

The Phoenix Lads opened the scoring in the 10th minute when Jordan Griffiths cut in from the right and unleashed a rocket which flew into the top stanchion.

Clarbeston Road then lost goalkeeper Matthew Davies who dislocated his elbow, and Telegraph Sport wishes him a speedy recovery.

Rhys Dalling struck a shot against the foot of the post and at the other end Ben John powerfully headed against the crossbar with James Gwilt beaten.

After the break and the hosts grabbed a second through an own goal - then Matty Delaney bundled in the third from a melee inside the box.

Griffiths was taken down inside the box and Scott Delaney scored with the resulting penalty.

Ben John crashed a header against the bar for the second time in the game, before substitute Richard Bevan grabbed a deserved consolation for the visitors.
