A huge night lies ahead for Merlins Bridge Amateur Boxing Club tomorrow (Friday) when they put on their first show since 2015.

An evening of charity boxing is being held at the Parkhouse Building at Withybush Showground. All proceeds will go towards The Paul Sartori Foundation, Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru and the club itself.

There will be 12 bouts during the night and local boxers will take on opponents from all over Wales. More than 400 people have booked ringside tables for the event and standing tickets will be available at the door at £10 per person.

The local boxers in contention to be involved are: Ryan Thomas, Alex O’Sullivan, Ryan Horgan, Tom Bradford, James Griffiths, Dion Donovan, Alfie O’Sullivan, Ryan Dalton, Sion O’Sullivan, Shama Joumoa, Joseph Davies, Josh Young, Jack Mathias, Jack James, Ed Woollard, Harvey Davies, Jamie Phillips, Sahin Bababan, and Josh Horgan.

Under club head coach Graham Brockway, all have undergone gruelling training schedules in the past few weeks and months.

Doors will open for spectators at 6.30pm, with the first bout at 8.30pm. There will be food available and a licensed bar (cash only).
