WWFA Intermediate Cup Round 2: Fishguard Sports 9-3 Resolven 

Fishguard Sports comprehensively defeated Neath League Division One Resolven to reach the West Wales Cup third round.

The Sports incredibly struck six goals in the final 20 minutes to secure this win.

Danny Morgan opened the scoring for The Sports, but the visitors equalised through Lewis Jenkins directly from a corner as it read 1-1 at half time

Shortly after the break and Steve Lewis added the second and Morgan was on target with the third before Lewis struck the fourth.

Ieuan Jenkins was on target for the visitors before Matt Harries and a Niall Kinsella penalty made it 6-2.

Rhys Stroud added his sides’ third but Lewis added the seventh to complete his hat-trick, plus Jake Booth struck two late goals to complete the rout.

Fishguard Sports Chairman Owen Duggan said: “We worked hard to ensure this cup-tie went ahead.

“All the hard work certainly paid off as the boys played really well and they put them to the sword in the second half with a glut of goals.”

Fishguard Sports travel to Pennar Robins this Saturday in a Division 1 clash.
