Haverfordwest Ladies player Sarah Lawrence has spoken to Telegraph Sport after making her international debut on Sunday.

The tighthead prop came on as a second half replacement as Wales Women beat Scotland at Scotstoun.

Wales prevailed 17-3 after early from Bethan Lewis and Lisa Neumann, herself a former Haverfordwest player now based in Manchester, and a penalty try on the stroke of half time.

"It was an honour to play for my country and to receive my first cap," the 19-year-old said.

"I am so grateful for the opportunity that my coaches have given me and for the support of my friends, family and team mates.

"It has been outstanding."

Lawrence, who has also represented the Scarlets region and been capped at age group level, is a former pupil of Sir Thomas Picton School.
