Division 1: Pennar Robins 2-1 Neyland

Goals from Josh Clarke and Craig Asparassa ensured Pennar Robins picked up an important victory against Neyland at Bush Camp.

Robins manager Chris Lloyd was delighted his side picked up their second win on the trot for the first time this season, while The Nomads will be bitterly disappointed they didn’t get anything.

Clark opened the scoring in the 30th minute, a good build-up led to Connor Roberts setting up the striker who obliged with a clinical finish past Patrick Hannon.

Goalkeeper Rhys Lucas pulled off a brilliant save to deny Neyland’s striker Jason Griffiths as the score read 1-0 to The Robins.

In the 75th minute Asparassa added a superb second, he clipped a left footed chip over Patrick Hannon and put his side the driving seat.

In the 85th minute the visitors pulled a late consolation back when a swift counter led to Griffiths slotting in the far corner.

The result leaves Neyland facing a crucial home game with Saundersfoot on Saturday, while Pennar go to Carew.
