Milford Haven RFC played host to former Wales and Cardiff Blues fly-half Nicky Robinson this month, alongside official partner of the Welsh Rugby Union, ISUZU.

Their visit was part of the campaign ‘The Big Pick Up’ in support of international charity SOS KitAid.

SOS KitAid recycles sports kit for the benefit of young people in the UK and overseas so they are given a sporting chance. The charity makes a positive and tangible impact on children’s lives by giving them the chance to participate in sporting activities; promotes social inclusion; and protects the environment by making a significant impact on the amount of sports kit ending up in landfill sites.

On arriving at the club Nicky first held a masterclass coaching session for the Club’s Under 10s before helping load the sports kit collected by the club on to the back of the ISUZU pick up. Nicky thanked club coach Karl Rozblat for all the club efforts and presented him with an exclusive signed Welsh rugby shirt.

John Broadfoot, CEO of SOS KitAid commented: “We are delighted to see such enthusiastic support from Milford Haven RFC. The kit collected today will make a real difference to the sporting lives of disadvantaged young people’

George Wallis, Head of Marketing at ISUZU UK added “At the heart of our support for the WRU is a desire to make an impact across the whole rugby community. The ISUZU Big Pickup with the help of the Welsh rugby community, enables us to make a difference to young people’s lives.’
