Jemma Nand-Lal started playing golf at the age of six - and the early start has proved worthwhile.

Now 12, the Narberth youngster has just won a senior tournament to add to her already impressive collection - triumphing in the Ladies' July Summer Stableford at Haverfordwest Golf Club.

Jemma shot a super gross round of 89 which included three pars and a gross birdie. It meant she returned a very creditable stableford score of 42 points to comfortably collect her maiden competitive win at senior level.

Of her handicap reduction to 19, she said: "I need to work hard on my short game to keep to that level but.

"But I want to thank Haverfordwest ladies' section for allowing me to play safely during their competitions."

In 2019, Jemma won the national Ping Junior Tour Grand Final at Under 12 level, and the Welsh Mini Masters.
