Pembrokeshire jockey Richard Patrick Has ridden a winner at Cheltenham this afternoon.
Former Sir Thomas Picton pupil Patrick guided Honest Vic to victory in the Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle, comfortably ahead of second placed Lock’s Corner (ridden by Richie McLernon).
Kansas City Chief, ridden by Victoria Malzard, was third.
Honest Vic, trained by Henry Daly, was an 11-1 outsider but pulled away convincingly in the closing stages.
Also competing was 2019 winner Tobefair, owned by the Pembrokeshire based ‘Down the Quay’ syndicate and trained by Debbie Hamer. Ridden by Jack Tudor, he could only finish 13th out of the 17 finishers.
