Tenby Sailing Club recently hosted the National Merlin Rocket Championships.
The proud winners of the tournament, which ran last week, were Christian Birrell and Sam Brearly from Parkstone Yacht Club.
From Sunday to Friday, nine exciting races were sailed by 65 crews.
Taking second place overall were Stuart Bithell and Tom Pygall, also from Parkstone Yacht Club, while third place went to Ollie Davis and Ollie Meadowcroft from South Staffordshire Sailing Club.
The championship was managed by race officer Nigel Denchfield, whose efforts were supported by dedicated members of Tenby Sailing Club and a busy safety crew.
The 45 volunteers ensured a successful sailing week, filled with fun evening entertainment at the clubhouse.
Simultaneously, the National Championships for Lasers were held in Weymouth.
In the ILCA 4 Class, Tenby's own Nina Marsh and Amelia Nuttall showed promising performances, finishing 17th and 21st respectively, competing in 11 races against 77 contenders.
Back at home, club racing continued with Redwings on Friday evening.
Julian and Dan secured first place, closely followed by Alex and Matt in second place, and Bill and Peter in third place.
On Saturday, eight boats sailed two races with Julian Cumpsty winning the first in an ILCA 7 and Dan Jackson and Matt Goldwait winning the second in an Osprey 1380.
