Johnston 3
Neyland 2
An injury time penalty scored by Johnston’s Adam Hawkins sealed a thrilling five-goal match with close neighbours Neyland at Glebelands.
As the scores were level at two-goals apiece, referee Paul Rooney pointed to the spot following a handball incident in the box. Striker Hawkins kept his composure and made no mistake from the resulting spot-kick, and subsequently earns the Tigers their third win of the campaign.
Hawkins gave the Tigers a tenth minute lead, the Nomads equalised through Wayne Parry. Fifteen minutes after half-time and Shane Phillips scored to give the Nomads the lead. Tigers substitute Ross Williams equalised with a peach of a header. Then deep in injury time Hawkins converted from the spot to steal the points.
