Cresselly 2nds (103 for 1) beat Carew 2nds (98 all out)
CRESSELLY seconds cruised to victory over their counterparts from Carew as veteran all-rounder Richard Harris showed just why he is the Welsh over 50s captain with a superb all-round performance.
Harris claimed 3 for 7 alongside another old-timer Lyn Richards (4 for 24) and skipper Matthew Lewis (2 for 20) as only Mark Hicks (35), Matthew Phillips (27) and the evergreen Aled Davies (17) were the pick of the Carew batting line-up.
Harry Thomas (26) and Harris then shared an opening partnership of 63 for Cresselly 2nds before Thomas departed off the bowling of Lewis Hicks (1 for 22). Alex Bailey (19 not out) supported Harris as he had eight fours in his undefeated 50, which included a six-hit to win the game in real style and help his team into second spot in the table.
