Llangwm (106 all out) lost to Carew (108 for 1)

CAREW finished their season on a high note which saw them easily beat lowly Llangwm by nine wickets at Pill Parks.

Llangwm, again without several key players, lurched to 5 for 3 before Will Beresford (44) and Joseph Kiff (37) put on 73 runs for the fourth wicket.

But once they departed only James Lewis (10) managed double figures against excellent bowling by Carew youngsters Steff Davies (5 for 12 in 3.5 overs), Rhys Davies (3 for 31) and Sean Whitfield (2 for 32).

Rhys Davies and Adam Chandler then gave Carew a solid start after tea before Chandler departed for 19 against Ollie Davies. But then Davies and James Hinchliffe set about the Llangwm bowling with such ease that when Davies launched the only delivery from home skipper Jonathan Twigg out of the ground for six runs they were home and dry in only 19 overs.

Hinchliffe had six fours and a six in his 35 not out while Davies rounded off an excellent season with five boundaries and two big sixes in his 54 not out.
