Lawrenny (137 all out) lost to Neyland (221 for 8)

NEYLAND rounded off their epic season in real style as they travelled to Lawrenny for their finally match and maintained their undefeated record with victory by 84 runs.

Neyland batted first and their final tally was assisted by 22 extras as Nathan Banner (20), Gregg Miller (32), Andrew Miller (28) and Ashley Sutton (25) all contributed useful runs around some excellent run-gathering from Nick Koomen, whose boundary-laden innings looked likely to produce three figures until he was adjudged lbw to Alistair Edwards for 76.

Edwards (3 for 57), Jamie Lewis (3 for 52) and Brad McDermott-Jenkins were the Cresselly strike bowlers as Neyland ended up on a sizeable 221 for 8 in their allotted 45 overs.

Brad McDermott-Jenkins again topped the Lawrenny batting as his father Ian Jenkins (21), Andrew Cole (19) and Hugh Griffiths (15 not out) provided support but couldnt stay long enough to influence the final verdict as Andrew Miller (4 for 19), Nathan Banner (3 for 31), Sean Hannon (1 for 22) and Ashley Sutton (1 for 2) were the successful Neyland bowlers.
